The satisfaction in the warm, A sturdy shelter for the storm raging on, Be my guidance, be my light, Cos I've been standing in the rain all night, This depth over distance, Is the fire that keeps us warm, when the road is weary and torn, This depth over disnance will carry on and on, Every time we're not apart, It brings us closer than we were at the start, And though goodbyes are longer than most, We know it's worth it with all that we are, This depth over distance, Is the fire that keeps us warm, when the road is weary and torn, This depth over disnance will carry on and on, I know it's hard like this, But I'll hold on to you, I hold on, I hold on, This depth over distance, Is the fire that keeps us warm, when the road is weary and torn, I'll hold on to you, to you.

This town don't look the same no more, This town don't feel like it did before, And maybe I've just moved on, But I can't help but think of all we did when we were young, So drive me the long way home tonight, My mind's tired of city lights, I don't wanna think of all the moments I can never live again, But I didn't wanna go, I didn't wanna grow out, But every time I look down, I see how far I've come, So I sing where, where have I gone? Cos I don't wanna grow old. Now I don't look like me, just reflections of a distant memory, So I, I just sing a simple melody, To try and keep my mind from where it used to be, So drive me the long way home tonight, My mind's tired of city lights, I don't wanna think of all the moments I can never live again, But I didn't wanna go, I didn't wanna grow out, But every time I look down, I see how far I've come, So I sing where, where have I gone? Cos I don't wanna grow old. I'm not losing me as I'm lost in these streets, I'll move on, I'll move on, But my heart might still leave, For a life that is free, I'll move on, I'll move on, But I didn't wanna go, I didn't wanna grow out, But every time I look down, I see how far I've come, So I sing where, where have I gone? Cos I don't wanna grow old, No I don't wanna grow old, No I don't wanna grow old.

Lay down with me and we'll dream away, All of our troubles and they'll fade away. Just pull me closer tonight, And tell me you love me one more time, I was lost, now I know, Thanks to you, which way I should go, With your love in my life, You have been my guiding light, Without you, I can't mend, Cos I need you here my friend, Or I'd wander alone in these streets 'til the moon left the sky. Every time I went walking through the night, I'd hear your voice, but you were always out of sight, But now I see you it's alright, So tell me you love me and look in my eyes, I was lost, now I know, Thanks to you, which way I should go, With your love in my life, You have been my guiding light, Without you, I can't mend, Cos I need you here my friend, Or I'd wander alone in these streets 'til the moon left the sky.

Ah, look at all the lonely people, Ah, look at all the lonely people, Eleanor Rigby picks up the rice in the church where a wedding has been, Lives in a dream, Waits at the window wearing the face that she keeps in a jar by the door, Who is it for? All the lonely people, where do they all come from? All the lonely people, where do they all belong? Father McKenzie writing the words of a sermon that no one will hear, No one comes near, Look at him working, darning his socks in the night when there's nobody there, What does he care? All the lonely people, where do they all come from? All the lonely people, where do they all belong? Ah, look at all the lonely people, Ah, look at all the lonely people, Eleanor Rigby died in the church and was buried along with her name, Nobody came, Father McKenzie wiping the dirt from his hands as he walks from the grave No one was saved, All the lonely people, where do they all come from? All the lonely people, where do they all belong? Ah, look at all the lonely people, Ah, look at all the lonely people.

We go together like two blues on a rubik's cube, Like student like and too much booze, Like the lyrics hey and Jude, Like broken things and super glue, But just as long as I stick with you, I know you'll always see me through, I do, So when I call you in the middle of the night, And I'm not looking too bright, and I'm talking sh***, And I know when I left my t-shirt was white, But now it's stained brown where spilt coors light, I guess you'll say I'm saying silly things, But if my red bull could really give me wings, I'd down another jagerbomb and fly to you, There's nothing that I wouldn't do, Oh come on, come on hold me, Cos I never thought we'd be like this, Come on, come on, show me, Cos I melt into a puddle when we kiss like this, You and I are super magnets, And you keep showing me each day, Oh, a million different ways to know you'll always make me stay, I'd give you eight letters but I'd need eight stamps, And you'd say eight wheelchairs would need eight ramps, You're the bookcase and I'm shelf bound camped, You're the lampshade, I'm the lamp, But under these covers we are lovers intertwined, I've had too much beer and you've had too much wine, Simultaneously sophisticated but common as hell, We may argue sometimes but you could never tell, And I guess you'll say I'm saying silly things, But if my red bull could really give me wings, I'd down another jagerbomb and fly to you, There's nothing that I wouldn't do, no, no, Oh come on, come on hold me, Cos I never thought we'd be like this, Come on, come on, show me, Cos I melt into a puddle when we kiss like this, You and I are super magnets, And you keep showing me each day, Oh a million different ways, A million different ways to know we'll always make this work, We go together like two blues on a Rubik's cube, Like student life and too much booze, Like the lyrics hey and Jude, Like broken things, and super magnets, and super glue.

Every time I try and try, Try so hard to change your mind, You come up with 20 different reasons, And I just can't seem to find my way away this commotion, Like an obstacle course of emotion, Doesn't seem like any solution, So I try to remind you of the time, We sat down on that dim let bench, Several hours after dark, And I'm surprised it felt so magical for a typical Portsmouth park, And with your head upon my shoulder, I had visions of growing older, As you're sitting there I hold you, Then you look to the skies and said, That a shooting star is a sign of love, But I was never sure of what's above, And I guess that I was right, Cos you're no longer in my life, Oh and I guess that I was right, Cos you're no longer in my life. I went out the other night, Nothing special, just a pint or two, Not expecting any trouble, Then this guy came and said, Hi I know your music through my ex, We broke up the other day, I said that I'm sorry to hear that mate, But then I'm shocked to hear your name, He said she left me the other day, And she didn't have much else to say, Then I walked in the other direction, Feeling mucked up and betrayed, That you never broke it off with me, You just stopped talking completely, And started dating somebody else, Oh I'm glad I never believed. That a shooting star is a sign of love, But I was never sure of what's above, And I guess that I was right, Cos you're no longer in my life, Oh and I guess that I was right, Cos you're no longer in my life. Oh I'll miss our evening walks around this town, Hand in hand as the sun goes down, But if all of those moment never meant a thing to you, Then why the hell should I feel so down and blue? Cos after all that, I can't believe I never ever had a clue. That a shooting star ain't a sign of love, But I was never sure of what's above, And I'm glad that I was right, Oh I'm glad you left my life, Oh I'm glad that I was right, Oh I'm glad you left my, Oh I'm glad you left my life.

Roxanne, you don't have to put on the red light, Those days are over, you don't have to sell your body to the night, Roxanne, you don't have to wear that dress tonight, Walk the streets for money, you don't care if it's wrong or if it's right, Roxanne, you don't have to put on the red light, Roxanne, you don't have to put on the red light, I've loved you since I knew ya, I wouldn't talk down to ya, I have to tell you just how I feel, I wouldn't share you with another boy, I know your mind is made up, so put away your makeup, I've told you once, I won't tell you again, it's a bad way, Roxanne, you don't have to put on the red light, Roxanne, you don't have to put on the red light, Put on the red light, put on the red light, Put on the red light, put on the red light, You don't have to put on the red light, Roxanne, you don't have to put on the red light, Roxanne, you don't have to put on the red light, Put on the red light, put on the red light, Put on the red light, put on the red light, You don't have to put on the red light.
